The Finance Department provides financial management leadership, oversight, reporting and services for the City. The department collects and records revenue; prepares, coordinates and monitors the City's operating and capital budgets; and invests City funds to achieve maximum returns. It is responsible for accurate accounting of financial transactions, periodic reporting of financial transactions for the City, providing accounting internal controls, working with auditors, and processing and distributing vendor and payroll checks.
Roxanna Martin is a graduate of Texas A&M University Commerce. She was previously with the City of Greenville where she acted as Assistant Finance Director and Interim Finance Director. She has been formally recognized for excellence achieved in financial reporting (GFOA CAFR award), budgeting (GFOA budgeting award) and open government and financial transparency (Texas Comptroller Platinum level award).
