All jobs require the applicant to pass a criminal history check, thorough background investigation, work fitness physical and drug screen, and have a minimum of a High School diploma or a GED.

WATER METER READER
Applicant must possess HS Diploma or equivalent along with a clean driving record and clear criminal history.
Responsibilities: Experience preferred. Responsible for reading water meters and accurately record water consumption. Other duties as assigned. Starting pay will be $9.00 per hour.



PARKS AND RECREATION LABORER
(Seasonal)

Applicant must be at least 16 years of age, hold a valid TX driver’s license, and must have prior work experience.
Responsibilities: Provide assistance to the Parks Dept with litter control, mowing, weed-eating and trimming.  This job will be seasonal only, not a permanent hire. Starting pay will be $8.57 per hour.

 

PART TIME
COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER I
JACKSONVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Respond to calls regarding emergencies requiring Police, Fire and/or EMS assistance; dispatch Police, Fire and/or EMS units as needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or GED required. Police, Fire and EMS dispatching experience preferred, bilingual in Spanish is a plus, but not required.
